Who We Are
ABOUT SCA
Santiago Christian Academy (SCA) is a private Christian school, founded in 1968 by the Association of Baptists for World Evangelism (ABWE). ABWE is a mission organization with headquarters located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA. The opening of the school provided a structured education in English for the children of ABWE missionaries living in Chile.
In the initial years, the parents themselves were the teachers. In 1971, with the arrival of two licensed school teachers, the academy became better equipped to expand its services to other English speaking families living in Santiago. For many years, the school provided an education for students in 1st-8th grades. In the early 1980s, the education was extended to include secondary school as needed. The first high school senior graduated in 1985.
Today, SCA includes students from Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade.
