Administration will be closed from December 19-January 19.

Admissions will be ON hold and resume on January 20.

Admissions Process

Santiago Christian Academy considers students for admission who agree to abide by the academic, attendance, conduct, and financial requirements as stated in the Student Handbook (see under section 3.12), who pledge cooperation with the school policies and standards, and whose parents (or a parent) believe and hold to the missions’ Biblical teachings.

SCA welcomes applications from students who meet the above criteria and the age and language requirements (see below), providing we can meet the student’s needs. To that end, please consider the following before starting the application process.

  • SCA is limited in its capability of accepting students with special needs.

  • All instruction in the Academy is conducted in English, and textbooks are in English. For that reason, applicants (Grades 1-12) are required to be functional in the English language.

  • The Academy is not recognized by the Chilean Ministry of Education. Therefore, for families needing to validate studies completed at SCA, students would have to take Exámenes Libres.

Age Requirements

  • Pre-K: 4 years of age by September 1st

  • Kinder: 5 years of age by September 1st

  • Grade 1: 6 years of age by September 1st

  • Grades 2-12: Students are evaluated according to their age and academic level to determine placement.

Language Requirements

  • Pre-K & Kindergarten: English not required

  • Grades 1-12: Fluent English at grade level required

Application Process

  1. Make contact either by phone or email

  2. Submit the electronic Application for Enrollment

  3. Request interview (by email) with the School Director. If the director approves, the next step will be an interview with the Elementary Head Teacher or Principal (applicants Pre-K to Grade 6) or Secondary Principal (applicants Grades 7-12). The enrollment application and required documents (see below) must be presented prior to the interview with the corresponding principal. At least one parent, and preferably both, must attend the interview with the applicant.

  4. Make appointment for English Diagnostic Test, if required (applicants Grades 1-12)

  5. Make appointment for Math Diagnostic Test, if required (applicants Grades 4-11)

  6. Once all evaluations are complete and the required documents are delivered, the Director, Principal, and School Board will review the completed application and make an admissions decision.

  7. The admissions decision will be communicated to the parents by email.

Admissions decisions are made on a rolling basis as applications are received. If a student is approved for  acceptance, reception of all of the following must be confirmed by school administration before registration is finalized and student is admitted.

  • Registration fee

  • Student Handbook Acknowledgement Form

  • School Financial Contract
